The program quickly calculates the areas (layers) composing each cross section and then complete this procedure by computing the corresponding volumes along the road axis. The results of the above calculation are presented with details on the quantities table.

Diolkos draws automatically to AutoCAD in real time using the MS ActiveX automation technology. The program is able to produce plots including drawings for plan, profile, superelevation rate diagram and cross sections as well as drawings for the road 3d model together with the current terrain model. Alternative the program can export all generated drawings to a specific DXF file. The printing process includes also tables for horizontal alignment, vertical alignment, stations, soil quantities, etc.
